Release event contest

October 4, 2007

Well, now that sites like Digg have picked up on our Release Event announcement, it’s time to move on the next idea: the release event contest. I hope everyone understands that this is all good-natured and probably a bit whimsical – it’s all in good fun. Cross our collective fingers that we get some great submissions and some great ideas. It’s all about spirit in the community, and spirit of enthusiasts who use KDE. So whether you’re a PCLinuxOS community member than loves KDE, or you live in the Himalayas and you rely on KOffice to support your booming sherpa business – don’t be shy and send in a submission. You’ve got until October 21.

Note: I should have made an additional contest: Can you guess which prominent invitee responded: “You bet your butt (plus the rest of your body but with the junk in the trunk that you’re sporting my friend no one cares about the rest) that I’m coming.” I’ll never tell. But now I’ve got to get on the treadmill and the stairmaster…I’ve only got three months to get into “Baby Got Back” shape. Time to dust off the gold jumpsuit. How I’ve missed you, old friend.
